As one of the largest Austrian companies, Siemens Austria plays an important role in society. In the course of its Corporate Citizenship activities, Siemens supports social concerns and promotes art and culture in a purposeful manner.
Siemens has been working closely together with the SOS Children's Village since 1997 and supports the "Bienenhaus", the orthopedagogic therapeutic center of SOS Children's Village. The children receive aid in handling traumatic experiences and overcoming their personal and behavioral problems, so that they are easier able to form bonds within the SOS Children's Village family or can make use of the opportunity to return to their original family.
We promote Austria's most important raw material in numerous partnerships and projects with schools, universities and the Ministry for Education, Science and Culture - our youths
Siemens Austria focuses its cultural promotion activities on the relationship between technology and culture and in this regard concentrates strongly on the development of own initiatives. In correspondence with the self-conception of an innovative high-tech company, one feels under obligation to create something new. Modern technologies are utilized to make art and culture accessible to a broad audience and to demolish existing access barriers.
In addition to the Siemens artLab, LITERATniktechTUR - the Siemens literature symposium or the Siemens Festival Nights in the course of the Salzburg Festival, are exemplary in this regard.
