When Justice, after hearing all the accused, witnesses and advocates, throws her scales into imbalance, the laws of moral gravity are upset. Things are extremely complicated. And thus it is not surprising that the goddess occasionally rolls her eyes behind her black blindfold, given the surprising movements the scales in her hand are forced to undergo. However, she falls into stunned amazement when during an inheritance case, a famous opera singer suddenly appears, sneaking into the courtroom under a false name and causing the proceedings to escalate by pointing out a mysterious document. The appearance of the unexpected witness turns the inheritance case into a matter of life and death – literally – without further ado. Who will leave the courtroom through which door? The options being: main door, prison door, emergency exit and the heavenly gates. And it is not Christoph Marthaler and Anna Viebrock, who have rolled up the spectacular case again at Salzburg’s Palace of Justice, who read out the judgments on life and death of those present.
